چکیده
A certain recovery method is now under consideration: a re-entrizing model for phoneme candidates by means of searching the correct phonemes using modification depending on recognition error characteristics in an example-based framewbrk [Wakita95]. This approach provides a recovery effect in handling phoneme or syllable sequences, and the effect depends on the particular speakers because of individual error characteristics.

Spoken-Language Translation Method Using Examples

متن کاملReal-Time Spoken Language Translation Using Associative Processors
This paper proposes a model using associative processors (APs) for real-time spoken language translation. Spoken language translation requires (1) an accurate translation and (2) a realtime response. We have already proposed a model, TDMT (Transfer-Driven Machine Translation), that translates a sentence utilizing examples effectively and performs accurate structural disambiguation and target wo...
متن کاملAn Example-Based Disambiguation of Prepositional Phrase Attachment
Spoken language translation is a challenging new application that differs from written language translation in several ways, for instance, 1) human intervention (pre-edit or post-edit) should be avoided; 2) a real-time response is desirable for success. Example-based approaches meet these requirements, that is, they realize accurate structural disambiguation and target word selection, and respo...
متن کاملIncremental Translation Utilizing Constituent Boundary Patterns
We have proposed an incremental translation method in Transfer-Driven Machine Translation (TDMT). In this method, constituent boundary patterns are applied to an input in a bottom-up fashion. Also, by dealing with best-only substructures, the explosion of structural ambiguity is constrained and an efficient translation of a lengthy input can be achieved. Through preliminary experimentation our ...
متن کاملThe Relationship between Architectures and Example-Retrieval Times
This paper proposes a method to find the most suitable architecture for a given response time requirement for Example-Retrieval (ER), which searches for the best match from a bulk collection of lingusitic examples. In the Example-Based Approach(EBA), which attains substantially higher accuracy than traditional approaches, ER is extensively used to carry out natural language processing tasks, e....
